Taylor-Style Celebrations
Today, the most magical thing happened. Something really exciting happened - this is related to my startup, which I'll announce tomorrow separately. But that's not the point here.
Right after it, I was sitting near the Korean Cafe in college, and two Taylor Swift songs played one after the other. The music was faint, but it felt like fate. So, after my meeting, I came skipping out of the room. Right after that, the Cafe was playing these songs. It felt like it wasn't just me celebrating. Everyone was.
As in any other endeavor, there were obstacles before my celebration. It was very hard - so much so that I almost thought I was going to quit and give up. I wondered if it was worth my efforts. But with some help from my loved ones, I knew I had to keep at it. I had put too much into it - and so had they - to just let it go without a fight.
The point of this post is that celebration can be the littlest things. It can be your favorite song playing in a place you rarely visit. It can be a loud grand party too. But the point is that everything is worth celebrating. Any achievement, big or small, is worth celebration.
Another point here is that you can find happiness in the little things. It was just a song - played quietly in the background - but it brought a huge smile to my face. It showed me that it was really easy to be happy. The perfect song can make you happy - even happier than a big grand gesture can.
Anyway... that song in that moment was wonderful. I needed to hear someone else celebrating with me. It was as if Taylor herself was celebrating - just like I (and all Swifties around the world) celebrate everything she does. That was a really magical moment.
