Does a woman need to be protected?

This is pretty controversial. Most men think that women are people that need to be protected and aren't capable of protecting themselves. I believe that women are just as capable as men of protecting themselves. They will ask if they need help. I think there’s no need to smother them under the guise of ‘taking care of them.’

On the other hand, some women like to be taken care of. They might not need it but they appreciate it if a man takes the time and effort to take care of them. She definitely wants this man to know that she can protect herself and that she is allowing him to take care of her. Taking care of a woman is a hard job and men have to know what kind of woman they’re dealing with. Men need to know where to draw the line. 

Women, I think, like to know that they are appreciated and cared for. However, in today's world, they are worried to show weakness. They are scared that they will be exploited if they show weakness - which is a pretty valid fear... Think about it... is that the world's fault or the woman's?

    The last para just explained how much men worry about showing their weakness to others because they might be exploited as well. That's where feminism comes into play and explains that not only does feminism talk about women's struggles, but also men who have to hide their tears from society. But I don't stand for Neo-Feminism though

A Tribute to My Seniors

  Before I start, I’d like to say that this is a very personal post, dedicated to a few very special individuals.  Anderlin, Sharan, Shane, and Mugunthan.  Technically they are my seniors, but they have become something more. These guys are the reason I made it through the year and have become irreplaceable brother figures to me. I may not call them ‘Anna,’ but the respect they earned from me is immeasurable. I still remember the first time I saw them. I was at an ethnic walk practice. Just Say "I Loved You The Way That You Were."

This is another lyric from The Tortured Poet's Department The Anthology. It's from the song "Chloe or Sam or Sophia or Marcus." The lyrics that I want to talk about read "If you wanna break my cold, cold heart just say, 'I loved you the way that you were.'"  These lines touched me. I feel like Taylor is telling us that her lover didn't like the way that she changed. She says that telling her that he loved the way that she was in the past is basically telling her that he doesn't love how she is now. I mean, she could have had her reasons for changing. She has the eyes of the world on her and wouldn't do things without thinking things through.  Yes. People change. If someone can't stick around to learn why, did they even love you to begin with?
