My Supernatural World

The world of the supernatural is vast and takes a lot of effort and concentration to navigate. It covers a lot, from mythology to magic to demons and everything in between.

I would say I started my journey with the magnificent Harry Potter series when I was 8 years old. I then moved on to Percy Jackson and quickly to the Twilight Saga, when I fell in love with all things supernatural. I threw myself into all things vampire as soon as I read the first book in the Twilight Saga. There were a lot of differences between what we thought vampires were and what Stephanie Meyer portrayed.

I soon went back to Rick Riordan’s work and fell in love with every aspect of Greek and Roman mythology. I found myself wanting more and started researching things that Rick wrote about. My next peephole was the iconic Vampire Diaries show. I spent years hearing about it from my friends and decided to give it a shot. I was hooked in moments.

I was in awe at the different ways that vampires were portrayed. There were startling differences between the Twilight Saga and The Vampire Diaries. The Twilight Saga stopped with vampires and werewolves while The Vampire Diaries went on to show powerful witches, ghosts, resurrected spirits, hybrids, sirens, and much more.

Watching and reading supernatural works inspired me to attempt to write my own supernatural story. It's hard work but I haven’t given up. I believe it’s worth the effort.

  1. It's indeed commendable that you have started writing a book of your own after being inspired by these classics. I wish you luck on your writing career.
